The “Tac 1” is the latest addition to my standard models. I wanted to design a simple, straight forward tactical style knife. The guard, handle and pommel are all made from black canvas Micarta. After the handle and blade are buffed, the handle is “taped off“. The blade, guard and pommel are bead blasted resulting in a nice satin finish on the blade and a two tone finish on the handle. The blade is 6 inches long and made from ¼ stock with a deep hollow ground single cutting edge.
I have wanted to design and built a knife especially for our Military for a long time now. My Son-In-Law has completed two tours in Iraq and I guess he is the inspiration for this knife. Actually all the men and women of our Military Forces should be a great inspiration for us all. So the “Tac 1” is my way of saying thank you. The price will be less for active military. As I can remember, pay in the military was never enough. So the price listed for this knife will be for the “rest of us”. Active military personal please contact me for your price.
The model 1911 shown in some of the pictures is a photo prop only and not for sale. Yes I am a firm believer in the 45 ACP rather than the 9MM currently being issued by our government. It can be summed up by the comments scrimshawed on the grips for my 1911 and I quote:
“Why do I carry a 45?” is shown on one panel.
And shown on the opposite side panel: “Cause they don’t make a 46!”
